DESCRIPTION
ROKONSAL AT-10B consists of a solution of 1,2-Dibromo-2,4-dicyanobutane (DBDCB) and Bronopol in glycolic solution. It does not contain formaldehyde or substances that act as formaldehyde-releasers and conforms to the EC cosmetics-law.

PROPERTIES
The combination of active ingredients in ROKONSAL AT-10B provides a broad and well balanced spectrum of activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. However, at the usual use-levels also growth of fungi and yeast will be prevented.

APPLICATIONS
ROKONSAL AT-10B has proven to be an effective preserving system for rinse-off-products like shampoos, shower-gels, foam-baths etc.

Due to its good skin-compatibility ROKONSAL AT-10B is suitable for high-quality cosmetics like creams, emulsions, lotions and gels. On account of its good dispensability it can be used in O/W-emulsions as well as in W/O-emulsions.

In accordance to EC-guideline 2003/83/EC in Europe, DBDCB containig preservatives are only allowed to be used in "rinse-off" cosmetics.
