LiquaPar
MEP is a liquid preservative system which is effective against
Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and mold. It does not
contain halo-organic components, formaldehyde, or formaldehyde
releasers and is Butylparaben free.
LiquaPar MEP is approved worldwide. |
 |
| Applications |
 |
Can be easily incorporated into a wide variety of rinse-off and leave-on personal care products. |
 |
Compatible with most cosmetic raw materials and can be used at pH levels of 3.0-7.5. |
 |
Recommended use levels of 0.5-1.0%. |
 |
Note:
the paraben components of LiquaPar MEP may become partially deactivated
by non-ionic surfactants and emulsifiers; as a result, these materials
should be minimized or avoided. |
 |
Although
Phenoxyethanol is slightly volatile, LiquaPar MEP is stable at
temperatures up to 85°C, but it is always best to add preservatives at
the coolest temperature possible. |
 |
For cold mixed systems, add LiquaPar MEP early in the process to allow for adequate mixing. |
|
 |
| Every
cosmetic formulation requires a specific preservative system to meet
its individual needs. Therefore, every newly developed or modified
product should be challenge tested to assure
preservative efficacy. |
